Model 40-710T: A five tube, AC or DC operated receiver with three tuning ranges for reception of Standard Broadcast (AM), Police and Shortwave broadcasting stations (530-1720 kc, 2.3-7.4 mc & 7.3-22 mc).

Power supply: 100-130 or 200-260 volts, AC or DC. To operate the receiver on 200-260 volts a ballast resistor, Philco Part No. 33-3377, is required. This ballast plugs into the socket provided on the radio chassis.
Power consumption: 70 watts at 240 volts; 35 watts at 120 volts.
