On Saturday, May 27, the Music City Vintage Radio Club of Nashville, TN hosted its first Radio + Audio + Music Expo at Brighton Park Pavilion in Franklin, KY, next door to Bright’s Antique World.

Brighton Park Pavilion is a large facility which rivals Renningers in Kutztown in size.

And the best part for me? It is less than 2-1/2 hours from where I live.

So, when I learned about this event while attending the MSARC swap meet in Louisville back in late April, I felt it was a no-brainer to attend the event in Franklin.

Debbie and I decided to rent a vendor space at this meet. We took along several radios, mostly small ones, to hopefully move along to new homes. Debbie sold several. I sold hardly anything.

But I’m still very happy that I went, and that I was able to go.

Hopefully, this event will continue to grow in the future. Who knows, perhaps it may turn into another event similar to Kutztown. It certainly has the potential to do so.
