Saturday, June 10, 2023 marked the occasion of the annual Radiorama hosted by the Cincinnati Antique Radio Society. This is usually a fairly large radio meet which attracts a multitude of buyers and sellers from many states, and this year’s event was no exception.
We arrived at 7 am EDT, an hour before the official starting time of 8 am. Many sellers had already set up outside in the parking lot by the time we arrived, while others were in the process of getting ready.
You had the opportunity to buy anything from parts sets, parts, knobs, and tubes to lovely, complete radios such as the Zenith “Walton” 9-S-232 pictured above, an Atwater Kent 10-C breadboard, two rare Philco Tropic radios, and many others.
Sellers are given the opportunity to set up inside the building (Raffel’s Catering on Reading Road) or outside in the parking lot. Due to the nice weather, a slight majority of sellers set up outdoors while several others did take their wares inside to sell.
The following photos will give you an idea on what you missed out on if you were not there.
I have tried to show you almost everything that was available outside in the photographs above. Now let us go inside the building to see what else was there.
Finally, here is a brief look at the donation auction area. By the time the auction began at 10:30 am EDT, there were even more items in the area shown below.
There will be many more antique radio swap meets across the country throughout the rest of the summer and fall. Be sure and attend one near you. You will not only enjoy it, you may very well find something you didn’t know you wanted.
